AI answers for estate and real estate agents
Sellers and landlords ask AI which agent knows their area and gets results; buyers ask who handles the kind of home they want. Answers draw on property portals, agent review sites and agencies' own pages, so agents with neighbourhood-level pages, real track records described accurately, and consistent profiles across the portals are the ones an assistant can recommend by name.
What customers ask AI
Typical questions, in customers' own words. None of them names a business, which is the point: whoever the answer names is who the customer calls.
“Which estate agent in Harrogate is best for selling a family home?”
“Good letting agent in Nottingham for a first-time landlord?”
“Top real estate agent in Scottsdale for selling a condo quickly?”
“Who are the best agents for period properties in Bath?”
“Buyer's agent in Raleigh who knows the North Hills neighbourhood?”
Where answers about estate and real estate agents can come from
AI assistants search the web before answering, and cite what they read. These sites list or review estate and real estate agents and are among the pages those answers can draw on. Which ones the answers in your town actually cite differs by place and engine; a scan shows yours.
| Site | Where | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Rightmove (external site) | UK | The largest UK property portal; agent branch pages list stock and areas. |
| Zoopla | UK | A major UK property portal with agent profiles. |
| OnTheMarket (external site) | UK | UK property portal with agent branch listings. |
| Propertymark (external site) | UK | The professional body for UK estate and letting agents, with a member search. |
| Zillow and Realtor.com | US | The main US portals; agent profiles carry reviews and sales history. |
| Redfin (external site) | US | US brokerage and portal with agent pages. |
Fixes for estate and real estate agents
No one outside the AI companies knows exactly how they choose names. These fixes put accurate, specific information where assistants read, which is the part you control. Mark up your site with the RealEstateAgent schema type (external site) as well; our guide to LocalBusiness schema in plain English shows how.
Write neighbourhood pages from real knowledge
A page per area you genuinely know, describing the housing, streets and buyers, matches the 'who knows this area' questions sellers ask. Don't make up figures; describe what you know and link to any market data you cite.
Keep agent profiles consistent across portals
Branch names, addresses and phone numbers often drift between portals, review sites and your own site. Make them identical, including the branch's Google Business Profile.
Describe your track record accurately
If you publish results such as homes sold or time to sell, make them verifiable and current. Assistants repeat what they read, and an inflated claim can be repeated to the wrong person.
Separate sales, lettings and buyer services
Sellers, landlords and buyers ask different questions. A clear page for each service helps an assistant match the right one.
Estate and real estate agents: questions and answers
Do property portal reviews feed into AI answers?
Portal and review-site pages are among the pages assistants can read, so reviews there may be summarised. How much weight they get isn't published. Consistent, genuine reviews across the portals and your Google Business Profile is the safe approach.
Why does AI recommend big chains over our independent agency?
Chains have branch pages on every portal and directory. Independents compete on depth: specific neighbourhood pages, named people, and recent local work described accurately.
Should individual agents have their own pages?
In the US, where customers often choose an agent rather than a brokerage, yes. In the UK, a team page with each person's areas and experience works well. Either way, keep it consistent with the portals.
Can we use AI answers in our marketing?
You can quote your measured share of AI answers if you describe it accurately, including how it was measured and when. Don't present a single AI answer as an endorsement; answers vary from one ask to the next.
